Purpose:

Raw Material Loader is responsible for continually monitoring and maintaining levels in the various raw material feed / storage systems to ensure an uninterrupted supply to the production operations. Performing housekeeping, organization, minor maintenance, and reporting activities as directed are essential parts of the job.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate loader and material handling systems in a safe manner: Moving materials into hoppers, bins, and silos. Operate material transfer and handling systems. Drive loaders and dump trucks in the yard safely. 
• Manage replenishment systems to prevent shortages in raw materials.
• Maintain work areas: Keep locations for materials storage, material loading, and material processing always organized and clean. Maintain control centers for transfer systems.
• Perform maintenance and inspection activities: Including inspecting and maintaining the equipment in compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. Continually monitor all material conveyance and feed systems.
• Maintain accurate and timely reporting and recordkeeping: Material receipts, inspection logs, downtime sheets, maintenance records
• Be an effective team member: Wear PPE consistently, work safely and ensure co-workers do as well, follow all policies and procedures, set an example of good behavior, assist co-workers as needed, work as a team to achieve the production schedule, cooperate with changes in the work hours, days, shifts.
• Present a Professional Image: Consistently provide exceptional customer service, always act professionally and maintain a positive attitude and productive relationship with all customers and team members. 
• Other duties as assigned and full compliance with all company policies and procedures as described in the Company handbook.

Minimum Requirements:

• Able to communicate (written and verbal) in English (full proficiency is a plus).
• Valid NC Driver License or reliable transportation to work.
• Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• 3 years’ experience in operating loading equipment used in moving aggregates.
• Work independently and diligently with minimal directions, to complete tasks on schedule.
• Communicate well with team members and supervision.
• Apply creativity to solve problems and contribute to the success of the team.

Physical Requirements: This role is hands-on and active.

• Lift up to 75 lbs. regularly 
• Climb ladders and access equipment 
• Sit, stand, and remain active for extended periods 
• Bend, twist, reach, kneel, and crouch as needed 
• Use hands and arms for vehicle operation and equipment handling 
• Maintain awareness of surroundings, including sounds, movement, and visual details
