Description

Oneida Professional Services (OPS) is actively seeking a highly motivated, full-time Security Manager in Falls Church, VA, with occasional travel to other performance locations. 


*This position is contingent upon the award of a federal contract.


Performance will predominantly occur at the Defense Health Headquarters (DHHQ), supporting the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, with additional locations near Portsmouth, VA; Jacksonville, FL; San Diego, CA; Camp Pendleton/Oceanside, CA; and Los Alamitos, CA. Work is expected to follow a 60/40 split between Government and Contractor sites at DHHQ, with remote work opportunities available subject to Government approval.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain knowledge of Office of Personnel Management (OPM) suitability and fitness standards, as well as information and industrial security policies within federal or DoD environments.
  • Develop suitability and fitness policies and manage compliance programs.
  • Perform and support DoD/OPM suitability adjudication activities.
  • Complete OPM Fundamentals of Suitability for Suitability and Fitness Adjudicators course within the last 3 years or enroll within 60 days upon onboarding.
  • Apply familiarity with DoD childcare background check policies.
  • Draft, review, and revise policies, SOPs, CONOPS, and implementation plans.
  • Support DoD interagency coordination, policy development, and execution of action officer responsibilities.
  • Manage databases and generate reports to support program oversight and decision-making.
  • Coordinate meeting documentation, including minutes, action tracking, and partner engagement materials.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Emergency Management, Security Studies, Public Policy, or related discipline).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience; OR in lieu of degree, 10 years of progressively responsible experience.
  • Successful completion of the Federal Coordinating Center (FCC) Course within the last 3 years or willingness to enroll within 180 days upon onboarding.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 security clearance with SECRET eligibility (required for FCC-related duties); or Tier 3 clearance (No Eligibility) for other functions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced experience in DoD/OPM suitability adjudication.
  • Strong understanding of interagency coordination processes within the DoD.
  • Proven experience managing compliance programs and policy implementation at scale.
  • Advanced data management and reporting experience.
