Job Summary


The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of IT projects to our clients’ IT organization. Project areas include deployment and refresh of cloud and on-premises infrastructure including network equipment, servers, and storage as well as end-user solutions. You will be working with various stakeholders across the delivery team and the client IT and business and coordinating the work of multiple delivery teams and partners. You will need to control the scope of the projects and account for financials, following the project management process.


Note: This position is remote and temporary (6-month contract renewable up to 18 months)


Responsibilities

  • Drive the program from initiation, including governance model and structure, and ensure it remains aligned with the overall implementation plan.
  • Participate in a cross-program collaboration team to quickly identify and resolve impediments to the implementation.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Anticipate, manage, and resolve risks and issues, track progress against milestones, deadlines, and budget. Report on these items, including dependency information, to key stakeholders.
  • Conduct project administration and the timely production of project documentation, e.g. project plans, reports, metrics, etc.
  • Other duties as required.
Requirements
  • AIX / IBM Server Experience 
  • Unix/Linux experience 
  • Must be accustomed to working in a data center with 500+ servers
  • Ability to understand and manage the scope, lead the execution, report status, mitigate risks, and resolve the issues.
  • Knowledgeable of high-level technical architecture and technology in general
  • Ability to facilitate communication, conflict resolution, and drive decisions on appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • High-level communication skills with collaborators and stakeholders.

Work Hours

  • Flexible but must be available between 7 PM and 11 PM US Eastern

Compensation

  • Depends on Experience

Working conditions

  • This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for up to 8 hours a day.
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects
