Position Summary
Performs day-to-day accounting functions that support the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. Responsibilities include balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable, journal entries, and month-end close activities while ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform monthly reconciliations for approximately 50 balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed
- Manage the full accounts payable process, including invoice review, coding, approval routing, and payment processing.
- Prepare and submit journal entries with supporting documentation
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records and organized supporting documentation for audits and compliance
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
- Support annual audit preparation and financial reporting
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting questions and support day-to-day financial operations
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $88,000 annually, with a target midpoint of $72,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and geographic location. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
- U.S. citizenship required
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint
- Experience supporting government contractors
- Familiarity with FAR Part 31 cost principles
- Experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
