Description

The Director of Sales is responsible for leading through revenue growth, driving new business through C&J entities, sales strategy, client acquisition, team performance, and market expansion for C&J Catering and affiliated business units. This role will oversee the sales department, develop high-value client relationships, strengthen strategic partnerships, and drive profitable revenue through integrating with current business entities, corporate catering, weddings, social events, venue partnerships, and emerging business channels.


The Director of Sales will work closely with the 901 General Manager and 901 department leaders to align sales goals with operational capacity, brand standards, and long-term company growth objectives.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth

  • Drive new business sales across all entities of C&J Catering.
  • Lead company in sales strategy and drive new business through C&J entities to achieve annual revenue targets.
  • Develop new business opportunities across corporate catering, social events, weddings, venue partnerships, drop-off catering, government accounts, healthcare, education, nonprofit organizations, and recurring corporate meal programs.
  • Prospect and secure new strategic accounts through outbound sales efforts, networking, referrals, and market development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and referral partners.
  • Identify new market opportunities and revenue channels.
  • Lead strategic growth initiatives for online ordering and recurring corporate accounts.

Team Leadership & Accountability

  • Manage, coach, train, and develop Event Consultants/Sales Team.
  • Establish measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including lead response time, proposal turnaround, closing ratio, revenue page, client retention, prospecting activity levels, new account acquisition, pipeline growth, social media lead generation, website lead generation, CRM compliance and follow-up completion.
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings and pipeline reviews.
  • Build a culture of urgency, professionalism, quality, and consistency.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly business reviews with presentations for the General Manager of the 901.

Sales Systems & Process Management

  • Oversee CRM usage, lead tracking, and sales reporting systems.
  • Partner with operations to ensure smooth handoff from sale to execution.
  • Collaborate on Caterease, Graze, website ordering tools, and corporate account systems.
  • Improve proposal standards, pricing systems, automation, and efficiency.
  • Host quarterly networking events to drive new business and engage with current clients.

Requirements
  • WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 5 years in successful sales leadership experience
  • Hospitality, catering, venue, hotel, or event industry preferred
  • Proven history of revenue growth and team leadership

  • SECURITY/CONFIDENTIALITY: All materials and information obtained through working with our company may not be given or transferred outside of the company. 
  • WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT: Ability to travel locally for sales calls and networking. On big event days: fast paced environment, high noise level, frequent walking, long hours and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS: Flexible schedule including occasional nights/weekends for events or client meetings. Hours worked are variable due to the nature of the business.


Salary Description
$70,000 - $80,000 plus commission
