Description
Habitat for Humanity of Dane County (HFHDC) is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Residential Site Superintendent to lead day-to-day construction operations on new home builds. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on the jobsite, enjoys mentoring others, and takes pride in delivering high-quality homes that directly impact local families.
What You'll Do
- Lead residential construction sites from start to finish
- Manage safety, schedules, materials, and subcontractors
- Train and supervise volunteers
- Conduct daily site inspections and solve on-site challenges
- Ensure high-quality builds that meet code and HFHDC standards
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of residential construction experience
- Strong knowledge of all construction phases + blueprint reading
- Ability to lead crews and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction/project management software (e.g. Buildertrend)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred: 2+ years of supervisory/volunteer leadership experience and OSHA 10
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 60–80 lbs regularly
- Frequent bending, squatting, lifting, and repetitive motion
- Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and at heights
- Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather and terrain conditions
