The National Account Manager (NAM)  is responsible for driving sales growth, building strategic customer relationships, and representing our portfolio of kick-ass brands with excellence. This role blends relationship management, business development, communication, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver against annual sales goals and long-term strategy. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, customer-focused, and motivated by achieving results. 


  

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Development

  • Build and strengthen strategic customer relationships across assigned national accounts.
  • Conduct  four in-person buyer visits annually to maintain alignment and drive business discussions.
  • Complete regular store visits, engaging with SPG personnel and understanding  in-store execution.
  • Attend and support new store openings, customer events, and key milestones—we show up, always.
  • Facilitate ongoing monthly business conversations with customers to ensure momentum and clarity.
  • Participate in customer entertainment activities to enhance relationships beyond the workplace.

  

Business Development & Sales Execution

  • Lead the creation of the annual sales strategy and establish annual sales targets.
  • Conduct a Monthly Business Review with the Director, providing high-level performance summaries versus plan.
  • Identify and capture in-season selling opportunities to maximize growth potential.
  • Deliver on all assigned sales goals and revenue objectives.

  

Communication & Reporting

  • Utilize ZOHO CRM to: 
    • Accurately input and update deals
    • Maintain calendar activities
    • Leverage other platform tools as needed
  • Send meeting  recaps by the end of week (EOW) following each customer meeting.
  • Provide product feedback recaps EOW to internal teams to support continuous improvement.
  • Communicate  and collaborate regularly with teammates, including other NAMs, Director group, CSMO, and the broader sales team.

  

Collaboration & Internal Partnerships

  • Work closely with Operations, Business Intelligence, Category Management, Inventory, and Product Development teams to deepen business insight and support account opportunities.
  • Proactively engage internal partners to build compelling sales presentations and drive customer-focused solutions.
Requirements

 Qualifications


  • Proven success in a national or multi-region sales role
  • Consistent history of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Demonstrated collaboration across regions and internal teams
  • Clear alignment with company values; acts with integrity and accountability
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel nationally


Preferences

  • Experience managing national or strategic accounts
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales reporting tools
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments
