Description
In this role, you will:
- Conduct physical testing of finished products against manufacturing specifications to determine product disposition
- Perform testing on raw materials to verify compliance with supplier specifications
- Communicate test results to production operators, leads, supervisors, and management personnel
- Verify that laboratory testing equipment is operating properly and producing accurate results
- Follow customer specification sheets, standard work instructions, and established laboratory procedures
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization in accordance with 5S principles
- Understand and comply with Quality System Procedures (QSPs), Work Instructions (WIs), Training Manuals, and Quality Bulletins
- Accurately complete required testing records and documentation
- Share process information and testing observations with team members
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend opportunities to improve laboratory procedures, workflow, and product quality
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and programs
- Demonstrate accountability and professionalism while working with employees across the organization
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, procedures, and specifications
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to collect data, establish facts, analyze information, and develop reasonable solutions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
- Ability to accurately complete required documentation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) to two (2) years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working in a laboratory setting
- Familiarity with chemicals and laboratory safety procedures
- Experience solving practical problems and troubleshooting issues
- Knowledge of quality systems and testing methodologies
Your Work Schedule
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Employees may be required to work 12-hour shifts and spend the majority of their shift on their feet while supporting laboratory and production testing activities.
