Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Lead

Reports To: Department Supervisor

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt


1st shift

Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm

Overtime is required based on production needs. 

Pay: $17.50


Summary Coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


• Studies shipping reports, bills of lading, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules.

• Oversees outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.

• Directs movement of shipments from shipping platform.

• Compiles records of unfilled orders.

• Answers incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel.

• Greets and signs in Shipping and Receiving drivers.

• Notifies appropriate personnel when trucks have arrived and coordinates priority loading of trucks.

• Directs Forklift Drivers.

• Inspects trailers.

Language Skills
