About the Role
AMPS ClaimInsight is hiring a Business Development Representative to create new conversations with healthcare buyers and help build qualified pipeline for the sales team. This is a lead development role focused on research, targeted outreach, first meetings, and early qualification.
This is not an account management role, and it is not a full-cycle closing role. The person in this seat will be responsible for identifying the right targets, starting the right conversations, and creating well-qualified opportunities that can be handed to senior sales leadership for deeper evaluation and pursuit.
What You Will Do
· Research and identify target accounts across health plans and TPAs
· Build targeted prospect lists and map relevant buyers, influencers, and referral paths within each account.
· Execute thoughtful outbound outreach through email, phone, LinkedIn, events, referrals, and warm introductions.
· Create first meetings with qualified prospects and help determine whether there is a real business problem worth advancing.
· Use clear messaging to introduce AMPS ClaimInsight, including our pre-pay payment integrity solution, high dollar bill review, and Out of Network pricing capabilities, at a high level.
· Document activity, account research, contact history, next steps, and qualification notes in the CRM.
· Partner with senior sales leadership to prepare for discovery meetings and ensure clean handoff of qualified opportunities.
· Test and improve outreach sequences, messaging, target account lists, and lead development playbooks.
What This Role Is Not
· This is not a closing role. You will not be expected to own enterprise negotiations or final contracting.
· This is not account management. You will not inherit a book of existing clients to maintain.
· This is not a generic call-volume role. Activity matters, but quality of targeting, preparation, messaging, and follow-through matter more.
· This is not a purely administrative sales support role. The job is to create real conversations with real buyers.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is organized, persistent, curious, and comfortable reaching out to senior healthcare professionals with relevant, well-prepared messaging. The right person can turn market research into targeted outreach and targeted outreach into qualified conversations.
· 3-5+ years of experience in business development, sales development, lead generation, recruiting, consulting, healthcare services, or another outbound relationship-building role.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to be concise, professional, and relevant.
· Comfortable using email, phone, LinkedIn, CRM systems, sales engagement tools, and basic account research tools.
· Able to manage a defined target-account list and maintain consistent daily and weekly outreach activity.
· Strong follow-through and attention to detail; this role lives or dies in the handoff notes.
Curious enough to understand the buyer’s world, not just send generic messages and hope the spreadsheet
Helpful Experience
Healthcare experience is helpful, but we are more interested in disciplined lead development, strong communication, and the ability to learn a complex market. Experience in any of the following areas would be valuable:
· Health plans, TPAs, ASOs, self-funded employers, brokers, consultants, or healthcare services organizations.
· Payment integrity, claims operations, cost containment, revenue cycle, coding review, recovery, analytics, or healthcare SaaS.
· Prospecting into executive, finance, operations, clinical, payment integrity, or benefits leadership audiences.
· Structured sales development processes, account-based prospecting, CRM discipline, and sequence-based outreach.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success will be measured by the quality and consistency of lead development activity, the number of qualified meetings created, and the strength of the opportunities handed to the sales team.
· Target accounts researched and prioritized.
· Relevant contacts identified and mapped.
· Outbound activity completed consistently and professionally.
· First meetings booked with the right buyer profiles.
· Qualified opportunities accepted by senior sales leadership.
· CRM notes, handoff details, and next steps documented clearly.
· Messaging and outreach playbooks improved based on market feedback.
Why AMPS ClaimInsight
AMPS ClaimInsight works with healthcare organizations to identify savings opportunities, improve payment integrity, and support smarter review of medical claims. The market is complex, but the business problem is straightforward: healthcare organizations need better ways to find and prevent avoidable claims spend.
This role gives the right person a chance to learn a specialized healthcare market, work closely with senior sales leadership, and play a visible role in building a stronger pipeline engine for the business. If you like the front end of sales - research, outreach, opening doors, and creating opportunities - this role is built around that work.
