Overview of Position:
The Fun Clubs Manager supports the academic growth of students by managing all aspects of our after school programs. This position works with vendors and DLS teachers to schedule clubs, monitor student’s attendance, communicate with families, and manage the financial aspects of said clubs. This position is also responsible for the management of Dolphin Study Hall, which involves selecting qualified DLS staff to facilitate the program, tracking student rosters, and replenishing materials for the program.

The selected candidate will report to the Director of External Relations, and work closely with the Manager of Purchasing and Accounts.
Pay and Benefits:
- Employees at DLS are compensated in accordance with other Denver-area charter schools. The annual salary of $46,466 - $47,987
- 6.8 days of PTO with an option to roll days to the following school year. PTO is prorated to reflect a .85 FTE position.

Essential Functions and Objectives:
- Manage vendor and teacher payroll for enrichments
- Maintain high level of confidentiality in all aspects of the job
- Organize each trimester's after-school activities, including pricing and schedule
- Manage DLS vendor and teacher applications to teach clubs
- Recruit, supervise, and retain enrichment vendors
- Manage student enrichment attendance and keep rosters updated
- Manage payroll for after-school program vendors and teachers
- Clearly communicate all necessary information with families and enrichment vendors/teachers
- Answer families’ questions in a timely manner
- Oversee the daily dismissal and check-in process for the after-school program, ensuring a safe and orderly transition for all students from school dismissal to classroom activities
- Oversee after school programs (Enrichments and study hall program) at Whiteman Campus everyday (attendance, behavior, dismissal, security procedures, etc.)
- Address parent concerns and/or work with administrators, when needed
- Create and implement sign-up, payment, check-in, and check out procedures, schedules, deadlines
- Ability to travel to and between DLS Gilpin and DLS Whiteman campuses when needed
- Additional tasks and/or assignments to further the mission and vision of the school, as assigned.
Skills:
- Familiarity or willingness to become familiar with financial aid policies
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to manage a variety of situations, from mediating minor student disagreements to implementing swift solutions for logistical issues to ensure program continuity
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to work within a diverse culture
- A high degree of responsibility and vigilance as one of two on-site staff members
- Ability to supervise vendors and students,ensuring all students are accounted for and dismissed safely
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey procedures effectively as well as able to communicate with vendors, students, families and school staff
- Ability to work under minimal supervision without the need for explicit directions

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bookkeeping experience (1+ years)
- Experience using financial systems (1-3 years)
- Previous experience leading before/after school programs (1-3 years)
- Understand project management principles (backwards planning, goal setting, etc.)
- High levels of discretion and confidentiality
- Advanced knowledge of technology including computers and software programs such as Google Suite and MS Word, etc.
- Intercultural competence and ability to communicate professionally in a multicultural setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Bookkeeping experience (3+ years)
- Experience using financial systems (1+ years)
- Previous experience leading before/after school programs (1+ years)
- High levels of customer service
- Bilingual (English + Chinese and/or Spanish)
- Experience in a school or nonprofit organization preferred
