The Director – Business Development will partner closely with the Managing Director – India to drive strategic growth by establishing and expanding relationships with key global stakeholders. These include executive education providers, accredited universities, HR associations, training organizations, and senior HR/business leaders across multinational corporations (MNCs) and large national companies (LNCs).
This role is responsible for identifying and developing high-impact partnerships, understanding evolving global human capital challenges, and aligning WorldatWork’s offerings to address these needs. The role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution to expand market presence and revenue opportunities globally.
Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
- Develop, refine, and execute a global business development strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify new market opportunities across global regions and build scalable partnership models.
- Continuously assess market trends, competitor activities, and emerging HR challenges to inform strategy.
Partnership Development & Relationship Management
- Build and nurture relationships with:
- Global executive education institutions and accredited universities
- HR associations and industry bodies
- Training and consulting organizations
- Senior HR leaders and business executives across MNCs and LNCs
- Act as a trusted advisor to partners, ensuring long-term, value-driven collaborations.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts with clear growth plans.
Revenue Generation & Pipeline Management
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline across global markets.
- Drive end-to-end business development lifecycle from lead generation to deal closure.
- Design and implement account strategies to capture large-scale, high-value opportunities.
Solution Development & Delivery
- Collaborate with internal teams to co-create customized solutions aligned with partner needs.
- Ensure effective delivery and localization of WorldatWork offerings in global markets.
- Leverage insights to improve product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement & Representation
- Represent WorldatWork as a credible and authoritative voice in global HR and business communities.
- Deliver compelling presentations and proposals to senior stakeholders.
- Participate in industry forums, conferences, and networking platforms to enhance brand visibility.
Customer Experience & Collaboration
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders while performing other duties as assigned.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and organizational growth.

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, or Marketing.
- 12+ years of experience in business development, key account management, and B2B relationship management.
- Prior experience in professional services, consulting, executive education, or association environments preferred.
- Proven track record of:
- Building strategic partnerships
- Creating and executing account strategies
- Developing and converting high-value pipelines
- Experience in consultative, solution-oriented selling at an executive level.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of global HR trends and human capital challenges
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to engage and influence senior executives and decision-makers
- High level of initiative, ownership, and entrepreneurial mindset

- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

- Presentation Tools: PowerPoint, Canva
Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of Sales (Business Development) and Marketing representatives.
