Description

Shift: 1st Shift

Hours: 6am-4pm; Monday - Thursday


Primary Functions

Perform 1st article inspections, perform container audits, problem solving, create process sheets, create control plans. 


Duties and Overall Responsibilities 

· Perform 1st article inspection for production approval 

· Operate CMM 

· Performing incoming inspections 

· Support manufacturing with clarifying customer/quality requirements as needed

· Problem solving to address out of specification conditions. 

· Work with cross-functioning teams to resolve non-conformities 

· Perform in-process container audits on parts running production

· Develop and update control plans as applicable 

· Develop and update process sheets as applicable

· Collect defect map data and compile 

· Facilitate quality related training sessions  

· Serve as a backup for co-workers in the department as needed 

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

This position may Include lifting to 50 pounds occasionally, lifting devices are available and are required for anything over 50-lbs. Working with machinery and varying materials in an aluminum foundry. Proper PPE is required as well, this position will require you to be on the production floor, conditions can be hot in summer. Some tasks are desk duties and some tasks require standing. 


General Skills and Experience

· 2+ years of work experience in a manufacturing quality position. 

· 1+ years of experience with ISO 9001-2015 standard.

· 1+ years of experience in developing control plans. 

· 1+ Experience in internal audits

· 1+ Experience CMM operation 

· 1+ years of experience programing CMM (preferred not required) 

· Strong blueprint reading skills. 

· Strong communication skills, ability to communicate professionally. 

· Ability to adapt to changing requirements with minimal interruption of normal workflow.

· Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Enthusiastic, cooperative, and positive behavior.
