The Product Controlling Team steers the product portfolio to target profitability by delivering on detailed financial analyses through various milestones to ensure disciplined cost and investment decisions are taken as well as proactively   

managing budgets and associated chances and risks as a key cross-functional partner.

  • Support in purchase order and invoice tracking updates against budget committee approvals.
  • Support in SAP and Purchasing system setup related to internal order / WBS structure and timekeeping mechanisms.
  • Organize weekly agendas for VP and C-level reviews including collection of financial decision impact and business case decision tracking.
  • Standardize reporting and templates for congruency and prepare documentation for leadership and committee appearances.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to track launch phase associated costs (i.e. prototype parts, surrogate parts, transportation, freighting, etc.) by departmental budget
  • Map processes and user guides for various internal finance functions.
  • Work closely with management to deliver department-level financial insights, performance tracking, and actionable recommendations.


  • In-Person Attendance: 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday), 2 remote (Thursday, Friday)
  • Location: Novi, MI
  • Travel: Some travel (US locations). Be able to travel to participate in events on behalf of the company.
  • 6 Month contract position, with potential for extension. 
Requirements
  • Education/Certifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related technical field.
  • Years of Experience required in type of role: 5 years or more of experience in a automotive finance environment or similar financial background.
  • Communication: Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to partner across functions and present financial insights to non-finance stakeholders. 
  • High Proficiency in: SAP 4/Hana, PowerBI, Excel, financial modeling
  • Other skills: Ability to work independently, manage priorities, strong analytical skills, and problem-solving mindset.
