Job Summary:
The Senior Consultant, Drug & Occupational Health serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all drug and occupational health screening services. This role provides consultative support to clients, prospects, and internal teams by offering deep industry expertise, regulatory guidance, and solution recommendations.
This position plays a key role in supporting client growth and retention through participation in prospect calls, program design discussions, and vendor collaboration. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in drug screening and occupational health services within the background screening industry and acts as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on drug and occupational health services, including best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
- Support client-facing activities, including:
Participating in prospect and client calls
Providing guidance on program design and product selection
Explaining capabilities, compliance considerations, and service options - Partner with internal teams (Customer Success, Sales, Operations) to:
Provide expertise on complex client needs
Recommend solutions tailored to client requirements
Assist in resolving escalations or unique scenarios - Offer consultative guidance to improve client program effectiveness, compliance, and overall experience
- Maintain strong knowledge of:
Federal and state drug screening regulations
Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements
Occupational health screening standards - Collaborate with vendors, laboratories, collection sites, and third-party administrators to:
Clarify capabilities and service offerings
Address service-related questions or challenges
Support program alignment with client needs - Contribute to internal knowledge sharing by:
Acting as a resource for team questions
Providing input on process improvements and service enhancements
Assisting with documentation or guidance materials as needed - Stay current on emerging trends, regulatory updates, and industry changes to ensure accurate and proactive guidance
- Attend relevant conferences, webinars, or industry events to maintain subject matter expertise
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Occupational Health, Medical, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in drug and occupational health services within the background screening industry required
- Proven experience supporting client programs, preferably in a consultative or client-facing capacity

Physical Requirements:
- Must have a dedicated and ergonomic workspace at home conducive to focused work.
- Access to a stable and reliable high-speed internet connection.
- Adequate lighting and minimal background noise to support professional video calls and meetings.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 5 pounds occasionally, for tasks such as setting up a workstation or equipment.
- The ability to work comfortably and effectively in a home environment that meets ergonomic standards, including proper seating and desk setup.
