Summary
The Production Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the machining centers in the Production department. The Production Supervisor will lead the machine operators and serve as a technical resource for the department.
Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of machine operators and production staff
- Ensure efficient operation of machining centers
- Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow to meet deadlines and customer requirements
- Train, coach, and develop operators on equipment use, safety, and quality standards
- Ensure employees are properly setting up tooling, including dies, cutters, and fixtures
- Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with all company and regulatory requirements
- Troubleshoot production issues and work with engineering as needed
- Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Support continuous improvement and root cause corrective actions related to quality and production performance
- Track and report production metrics
- Maintain a clean and organized production environment

Education and Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience within a multi-process manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of supervisor experience
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Prior ERP system experience
- Working knowledge of industrial automation systems including punch presses, press brakes, automated machining centers and cold saws
- Preferred experience includes ERHTs, FANUC robots, FANUC ROBODRILL machining centers, Bystronic Press Brakes
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving measurements, production rates, efficiencies, and material usage. Ability to perform these calculations using weight measurement.
