Job Title: Data & Reporting Analyst

Reports To: Executive Director / Director of Operations

Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: Kansas (Remote)


Position Summary

The Data & Reporting Analyst will lead the organization’s transition into a data-informed not-for-profit. This position is responsible for extracting, analyzing, and visualizing clinical and operational data to meet rigorous state contract requirements and support advocacy efforts. The ideal candidate will transform raw clinical documentation into real-time, meaningful dashboards for internal leadership, funders, and stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Dashboard Development & Maintenance: Design, build, and maintain interactive, real-time dashboards and reports using native software tools (Tableau and Metabase).
  • Contract Compliance Reporting: Own the execution and timely delivery of all required state contract reports, ensuring absolute accuracy and compliance with state data standards.
  • Data Storytelling & Advocacy: Translate complex mental health data sets into scannable, clear visual stories and briefs for non-technical stakeholders, including board members, community partners, and funders.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Partner with clinical staff to audit data entry workflows, identify gaps in documentation, and implement standard data collection processes to improve data integrity.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Respond efficiently to rapid-turnaround data requests from leadership and external funders with attention to funding cycle deadlines.
  • Strategic System Development: Evaluate current data workflows and provide recommendations on the future state of a centralized data repository to streamline multi-system reporting.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting, preferably within a healthcare, mental health, or non-profit setting.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases. Proven ability to extract, blend, and analyze data from multiple disparate software systems. Proven hands-on experience creating dashboards in Tableau and/or Metabase or related technologies.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain the story behind the data to diverse audiences.
  • Mission Alignment: Understanding of or strong interest in community mental health services and the unique landscape of non-profit funding.
  • Candidates with experience using Python and/or ETL processes are highly encouraged to apply, but these skills are not required. 


Salary Description
$70,000/yr
