Previous fine dining restaurant supervising experience is highly desirable. The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of the restaurant. Additionally, he/she assists the Restaurant with training, motivating, and coaching the staff to ensure Noble House Marquesa standards are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Being visible throughout the operation, cultivating relationships with regular guests and cultivating relationships with new patrons in order to increase loyalty, is a key factor in attracting and retaining guests. Observe the outlet's physical condition and make recommendations for corrections and improvements
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
- Maintains a clean and well-arranged dining, service, and kitchen area.
- Maintains adequate supplies, equipment, and food inventories.
- Maintains weekly/monthly inventories.
- Provide assistance with food and beverage orders and supply orders.
- Ensures that equipment is properly maintained.
- Maintains compliance with all food and beverage regulations.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by resolving complaints.
- Ensure assigned work areas are clean, sanitary, and organized.
- Ensure that you are familiar with all hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain weekly work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines and labor forecasts.
- Make sure staff report to work on time. Keep a record of any late or absent employees.
- Make sure staff breaks are coordinated.
- Staff members should be assigned work duties.
- Organize a pre-shift meeting and discuss all business-related information with staff.
- Make sure staff are groomed and attired properly; rectify any deficiencies.
- Ensure that all materials and equipment are ready for service, and rectify any deficiencies with the appropriate personnel.
- Continually monitor the performance of staff in all phases of service and job duties
- Ensure exceptional service is provided consistently by monitoring SOPs.
Minimum Education and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required, college degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
- Two to three years’ experience in a similar position preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, techniques, and operations.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with POS systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional appearance and presentation required.
- Meet NHHR background screening requirements.

- Ability to positively interact with diverse personalities, including co-workers, subordinates, guests and purveyors in a variety of work situations. Must have active listening and effective communication skills.
- Ability to recognize problems and to find solutions creatively and expeditiously. Ability to set priorities and use initiative; solid decision-maker.
- Ability to be detail-oriented, multi-task and effectively prioritize in a continuously changing environment.
- Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule; able and willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours.
- Standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, being able to stoop, kneel or bend.
