Requirements

Role Overview

Are you an ambitious self-starter who wants to build a real, high-demand technical career? We are seeking a Bilingual Maintenance Technician who is exceptionally open-minded, easy to train, and deeply self-directed. We need someone who naturally scans the floor, spots an issue, and jumps in to fix it without needing constant, step-by-step direction. You will work closely with our experienced team, keeping production moving and rapidly scaling your skills along the way.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will never be boring as you wear multiple hats to maintain plant operational continuity and drive efficiency:

  • Proactive Problem Solving: Actively spot equipment needs on the floor and independently address them before they turn into bottlenecks.
  • Preventive Maintenance (PMs): Stay ahead of the game by conducting scheduled check-ups on machines to keep them in peak shape and prevent unexpected downtime.
  • Rapid Diagnostics: Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions on the fly and implement smart, corrective actions to restore operations safely.
  • Production Partnership: Act as a reliable technical partner to our production team, jumping in to assist whenever operational support is needed.
  • Safety & Organization: Maintain a pristine, organized work environment in strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and OSHA safety standards.
  • Digital/Written Tracking: Complete daily work orders to accurately document your repairs and maintenance milestones.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Language Skills: Must be fully bilingual (English/Spanish) to seamlessly communicate with supervisors and team members in both languages, and accurately read safety instructions and work orders.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in any hands-on repair or maintenance-related environment (e.g., facility maintenance, auto repair, manufacturing, construction, or skilled machine operations).
  • The Toolbox: High proficiency with standard hand and power tools, plus a natural mechanical problem-solving mindset.
  • Adaptability: The capacity to rapidly learn basic plant components like motors, pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors.
  • The Mindset: Highly self-directed and autonomous; you have an innate ability to see a need and meet it without waiting for explicit instructions.
  • Trainability: Exceptionally open-minded, receptive to feedback, and eager to absorb new technical skills and machinery layouts during training.
  • Education & Authorization: High school diploma or equivalent , and legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Professionalism: A dependable demeanor, a commitment to long-term career growth, and an eagerness to master food plant safety standards (HACCP/SQF).

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Sensory Environment: This position is based on-site in our spice processing facility. You should be completely comfortable working around strong, rich spice aromas, dust, and active moving equipment.
  • Physical Stamina: This is a highly active role that requires standing, walking, and bending for extended periods, as well as the ability to regularly lift up to 51 pounds.
  • Safety First: A strict commitment to consistently wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following food safety guidelines.
