Position Summary

As an individual contributor role, the Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Operator II operates a powered high reach, order picker, and or turret truck to move, stack, load, and unload materials, supplies, inventory, and finished goods. 

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

· Safely handles finished goods with powered industrial material handling equipment.

· Performs put away, replenishment, pallet consolidation, put backs, and picking functions throughout the warehouse.

· Uses an RF Scanner to locate and pull cases, split/move cases, direct storage, pack-in/out, fill active and case pick, and return inventory to storage.

· Places inventory to be staged and put away or consumed in a warehouse environment. 

· Supplies materials and product to various departments in a safe and timely manner.

· Ensures all pallets are safely stacked and stored safe and secure in storage locations. 

· Ensures equipment batteries are charged throughout the shift and equipment is returned and plugged into the charging station at the end of the shift. 

· Ensures equipment is kept clean and tidy; promptly informs supervisor and maintenance of any broken, damaged, or non-functioning parts of the equipment. 

· May load and/or unload trucks of materials, product, supplies and more as needed.

· Maintains accurate production, quality, and operational records as required.

· Follows all safety protocols as outlined for the position and equipment.

· Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

· High school diploma or GED. 2 years of work experience may be accepted in lieu of high school diploma or GED.

· 1 year of licensed PIT operation experience using RF scanners in manufacturing or distribution industry. 

· Ability to safely operate PIT and follow all safety protocols associated with the position.

· Knowledgeable of WMS software. 

· Ability to read and write basic English, follow oral instructions, perform basic math skills, and use RF scanning technology. 

· Ability to work overtime as needed.


Physical Requirements 

· Ability to lift, carry, and move items—often 30–50 lbs regularly, and occasionally heavier depending on the role.

· Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods, sometimes for an entire shift.

· Repetitive motions, such as reaching, pulling, pushing, and manual handling of products.

· Operating or working around machinery and equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or conveyor systems (with appropriate training).

· Tolerating varying environmental conditions, like hot, cold, or noisy warehouse spaces.

· Tolerance for varying temperatures 

· Exposure to dust, noise, forklifts, and moving machinery

Salary Description
$20/hour
