Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Administrator (Cx Admin) to support the commissioning team on large-scale mission-critical construction project. This individual will play a key role in coordinating commissioning documentation, tracking project deliverables, maintaining testing records, and supporting system turnover throughout the commissioning lifecycle.
The ideal candidate should have prior experience supporting large data center, semiconductor, or other complex industrial construction projects and thrives in a fast-paced environment where organization, attention to detail, and communication are critical to project success.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Commissioning Manager and commissioning team throughout all project phases.
- Coordinate and maintain commissioning documentation, testing records, and system turnover packages.
- Track commissioning activities including L1-L5 completion, equipment status, deficiencies, punch items, and turnover milestones.
- Manage document control processes including version control, distribution, and organization of commissioning deliverables.
- Schedule commissioning meetings, prepare agendas, document meeting minutes, and track action items.
- Maintain project trackers, dashboards, and reporting using Excel and commissioning software.
- Coordinate with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning engineers to ensure timely completion of required documentation.
- Upload, organize, and maintain commissioning records within project management platforms.
- Assist with preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly commissioning reports.
- Ensure commissioning documentation is complete and organized prior to owner turnover.
- Support multiple commissioning activities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced construction environment.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience supporting commissioning, construction, project controls, document control, or project coordination on large commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Experience supporting mission-critical, semiconductor, data center, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing, or other complex industrial projects strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting commissioning teams through equipment startup, testing, and project turnover.
- Strong document control and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with internal teams, contractors, and clients.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with one or more of the following software is highly preferred: CxAlloy, Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Aconex (preferred), Microsoft Excel
