This is a hands-on, detail oriented Staff Accountant position, ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi location business environment and enjoys improving processes, collaborating with cross functional partners.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including, but not limited to, preparation of journal entries for petty cash, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other general ledger activity.
- Prepare and maintain assigned balance sheet account reconciliations, researching and resolving reconciling items on a timely basis.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring book cash balances agree to bank statements.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of multi-state sales tax returns.
- Support Senior Accountant and Assistant Controller with account analyses, reconciliations, and special accounting projects.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Responsibilities may evolve based on business needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and GAAP.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on ERP experience, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable.
- Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and prepaid schedules.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIF(S), IF statements, and other commonly used formulas.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods while working at a computer
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, via phone, and video conferencing
- Occasionally move or lift office materials up to 15 pounds (e.g., files, boxes, or equipment)
- Ability to navigate an office environment and attend in-person meetings as required

Work Environment:
- This role requires aminimum of 3 days per week in-office at our Atwater Village, Los Angeles studio and an optional 2 days from your remote home office.
- Work is performed in a creative studio and office environment with frequent collaboration

Compensation & Perks:
