Construction Project Engineer
Description

Help us build the thing that builds everything else.

This is a ground-floor opportunity, and the timing is now. As Roundhouse builds out its construction vertical, the right person steps in early enough to help shape it: a seat with our leadership team, a real look at our construction vision, and a genuine hand in how this function takes form. If you want to grow with something instead of just plugging into it, we want to hear from you.

At Roundhouse, our mission is simple and serious: putting humanity into housing. Since 2008 we have grown into a developer and manager of diverse real estate across five states, with more than 10,000 multifamily units and over $2B in assets under management. We got here by challenging the status quo, taking the long view, and betting on people who want to build something that lasts.

We are looking for an eager, highly motivated Construction Project Engineer to help deliver multifamily residential projects in the Boise area. The right person brings a real passion for construction, a sharp eye for detail, and a growth mindset.

What you'll own

You support the Project Manager and keep projects on schedule, on budget, and built right. That means you:

  • Coordinate all phases of construction alongside the Project Manager to protect schedule and budget.
  • Track progress, documentation, and costs, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and material procurement.
  • Review and manage submittals and RFIs, coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals to keep things accurate and on time.
  • Support cost tracking, purchase orders, and change management to keep projects financially aligned.
  • Run or support quality control inspections for compliance with plans, specs, and codes, and document and resolve non-conformance issues.
  • Back up field operations by resolving technical issues and coordinating design clarifications during construction.
  • Keep all project records, reports, and safety documentation organized.
  • Promote job site safety by helping implement and maintain OSHA-compliant safety programs and inspections.
  • Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and trade partners to streamline communication and improve efficiency.

You take initiative, own the details, and help set the standard for a brand-new vertical.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of construction experience.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera, or Smartsheet.
  • Strong knowledge of construction procedures, codes, and safety regulations.
  • The ability to travel to job sites within the Boise area as needed.
  • Strong collaboration skills across departments and with external stakeholders.

A leg up if you have:

  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • OSHA 10 certification.

This is full-time work with pay, benefits, and perks built around your well-being, your growth, and your sense of community.
