Description

Position Overview: 

The Marketing Manager will serve as the strategic driver behind 88 Tactical’s brand visibility, membership growth, and overall marketing performance. This role combines creativity and data-driven strategy to expand our member base, elevate our market presence, and strengthen engagement across all channels — from digital and social media to events and partnerships. 

This position requires a visionary leader with hands-on expertise in campaign strategy, advertising (including paid media), and brand storytelling. You’ll oversee all marketing functions, lead a small but mighty team, and work collaboratively with leadership to align marketing initiatives with company goals. 


Key Responsibilities: 


Membership Growth & Market Strategy 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that drive membership acquisition, retention, and engagement. 
  • Identify and target key market segments using data insights and customer behavior analysis. 
  • Partner with the membership and events teams to create campaigns that convert leads and maximize ROI. 

Advertising & Brand Awareness 

  • Oversee the development and management of advertising campaigns (digital, print, and broadcast). 
  • Plan and optimize paid media strategies, including Google Ads, Meta, and other platforms. 
  • Maintain a consistent and compelling brand voice across all marketing channels and materials. 

Social Media & Digital Presence 

  • Lead the strategy for social media growth, engagement, and brand storytelling. 
  • Manage paid and organic social campaigns, influencer collaborations, and community engagement initiatives. 
  • Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies to continually improve reach and engagement. 

Content & Creative Direction 

  • Guide the creation of impactful content — including video, photo, print, and digital assets — that highlight the 88 Tactical experience. 
  • Ensure all creative aligns with brand standards and enhances member perception. 

Leadership & Collaboration 

  • Lead and mentor marketing staff, fostering a collaborative, performance-driven environment. 
  • Partner with internal departments to ensure marketing efforts support operational and financial goals. 
  • Oversee external marketing vendors, agencies, and media relationships. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (Master’s preferred). 
  • 7+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. 
  • Proven success in membership-based or lifestyle brand marketing. 
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing analytics, audience segmentation, and campaign optimization. 
  • Expertise in paid advertising platforms (Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, etc.). 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
