Description
Cogent Security LLC is seeking energetic, adaptive professionals who enjoy detailed organization and possess excellent communication skills. Candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm to provide executive support to the Office of Defense Nuclear Security (DNS) within the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).
Duties and responsibilities:
- Understand organization, personnel, workflows, and be adaptive to a rapid office pace.
- Maintain calendars for senior staff, anticipate conflicts, and seek to resolve.
- Establish and maintain office files and databases, including electronic data files architecture consistent with standard file storage/structure methodologies.
- Develop and maintain administrative data systems such as contact lists, email distribution lists, and shared calendars.
- Manage flow of correspondence, classified and unclassified, and recommend process improvements that increase office efficiency and productivity.
- Operate all forms of office technology including equipment and systems.
- Manage the office equipment of senior staff, provide assistance, and troubleshoot as required.
- Manage and track organizational action items and facilitate progress/closure as necessary.
- Produce briefings and reports on a wide variety of topics at the senior staff’s direction.
- Ensure documents are accurate and complete and conform to appropriate style guide.
- Make travel arrangements and preparations for senior staff.
- Manage physical space within the office including opening and closing areas and providing escort as required.
- Travel with senior staff to off-site meetings and assist them in operating equipment and taking notes as required.
- Perform writing and editorial functions on documents and slides and assist in creating brochures or publications as necessary.
- Facilitate senior level discussions and document as necessary including production of meeting minutes, notes, or other products as appropriate for the setting.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years professional experience with at least one year interacting with federal staff
- Exceptional communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills
- Active DOE Q or DOD Top Secret security clearance
Position Location: Client site in Washington, DC (possibility of telework one day per week)
Salary Range: $80-100K
Salary Description
$80,000 - $100,000 annually
