Material Handler
Description

Three D Metals is currently hiring a material handler for the production department in our newest Valley City location. We are looking for an energetic and adaptable candidate to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who likes to be busy, enjoys working with people, and brings a positive, can-do attitude to every shift. Summary

The Material Handler will perform variety of functions that control the movement of material through the production life cycle.


Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Bring materials to the machines
  • Take finished product and put away in designated areas
  • Pull and stage finished product for shipments
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Read and understand packing lists and bills of lading
  • Empty hoppers and assist with general plant organization
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Requirements

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of experience with forklifts, counterbalance and/or reach truck
  • Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Shipping & Receiving experience preferred


Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using weight measurement.
