Position Summary: 

The Sr. Accountant is responsible for maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, assisting with the audit preparation and requests, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Play an active role in the month-end close process including preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and other account reconciliations and analyses.
  • Maintain fixed asset schedule. 
  • Perform monthly cash reconciliations. 
  • Record Payroll entries and other benefits accruals.
  • Other general ledger accruals such as prepaids, professional fees/consulting accruals, and other necessary accruals. 
  • Perform actual versus budget variance analysis and work with the department heads to ensure that variances are properly explained or corrected.
  • Assist with preparing compliance reports and providing supporting documents to tax agencies and auditors.
  • Troubleshoot accounting issues related to billings, cash, A/R, A/P, payroll, etc. 
  • Maintain documentation and update desk procedures related to month-end close activities inclusive within FloQast. 
  • Apply Accounting and policies and procedures in month-end activities and related variance explanations.
  • Ad hoc project to support the accounting, reporting, and finance operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Accounting.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Must be comfortable with US GAAP principles.
  • ERP experience: JD Edwards, D365 or other similar ERP systems.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong accounting and financial acumen with attention to detail
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate problem-solving skills
  • Must sign NDA agreement indicating that any disclosure written or verbal, or in any form of payroll related information will be subject to termination. 
  • Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
  • High level of proficiency in Excel to perform spreadsheet and financial analysis
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented 
  • Ability to learn and willingness to access multiple systems
  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills 
  • Must be able to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment 
  • Must be a team player.
Salary Description
$80,000 – $100,000 Annually
