Blending Warehouse Associate
Description

Pull, stage, and manage ingredients that support blending operations. This role ensures the blending team always has the ingredients they need — organized, documented, and ready — so production can run without interruption

Requirements

Essential Job Duties and responsibilities:

  • Pull all required ingredients from warehouse storage for upcoming blend orders and build organized staged pallets in the blending area.
  • Stage 1–2 pallets of ingredients per shift so the blending team can begin weighing immediately without leaving the blending area.
  • Ensure a minimum of one fully staged pallet is ready for the incoming shift before the end of each shift.
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) lot rotation when selecting ingredients from storage.
  • Document all staged inventory and communicate progress, shortages, or issues to the Blending Manager or Supervisor at shift end.
  • Record lot numbers for every ingredient pulled, linking each lot to the corresponding blend order for full traceability.
  • Flag low stock levels proactively before they become a production disruption and escalate through the correct channel.
  • Support periodic cycle count activities as directed by the Blending Manager.
  • Identify and segregate damaged or expired ingredient lots from usable inventory.
  • Complete disposal sales orders in Acumatica ERP for all damaged and expired lots; ensure all entries are fully submitted with no open or stalled records.
  • Escalate any uncertain product disposition (quarantine vs. disposal) to the Blending Manager or QA before taking action.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to follow written work instructions, SOPs, and blend orders accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in lot documentation and ingredient verification.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the blending team and supervisor.
  • Reading and comprehension abilities sufficient to interpret work orders and ERP records.
  • As needed, must be able to work all shifts and weekends.
  • Ability to work in a team environment in a positive manner of respect, cooperation, and flexibility.

Minimum Qualification Standards:

  • Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent degree and training.
  • No prior experience required; full on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered.

Equipment, Machines, and Software Used:

This position requires use of manual and powered pallet jacks, warehouse storage equipment, scales, and Acumatica ERP software (training provided).

Physical Activities and Requirements:

Ability to lift 50 pounds. Requires ability to continually stand and walk for up to 10-hour days. Frequent bending, reaching, and pushing/pulling of pallet jacks and loaded pallets.

All employees are required to adhere strictly to all company procedures and policies.
