2nd Shift Quality Coordinator - Reno, NV

General Responsibilities:

· Review production and quality records on a daily basis to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal procedures and customer requirements

· Conduct routine floor audits to verify adherence to GMP standards, quality procedures, and work instructions; identify and communicate any gaps or nonconformances

· Maintain quality system documentation, including training records, CAPA records, audit documentation, and related logs, ensuring all records are current and audit-ready

· Coordinate and deliver training to employees on quality procedures, documentation requirements, and compliance expectations; support onboarding of new hires in alignment with training matrices

· Coordinate and support the review and documentation of nonconforming product, ensuring proper identification, segregation, and tracking in accordance with established procedures

· Manage quarantine processes, including oversight of the quarantine area and ensuring proper use of quarantine tags; perform required system transactions for movement of nonconforming product in the ERP system

· Initiate and support Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs) and assist with internal corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in collaboration with site management

· Support internal, customer, and third-party audits, including preparation of documentation and participation during audit activities

· Communicate updates to quality procedures, forms, and requirements to site personnel to ensure alignment

· Coordinate and review pest control reports and assign or track any required corrective actions

· Perform data entry and reporting activities related to production and quality

· Other duties as assigned


Production & Material Support

Support production schedules by ensuring required materials are available and staged as needed

Communicate material shortages, inventory risks, or discrepancies to supervisors and planning teams

Assist with monitoring inventory levels to avoid stockouts, overages, or obsolete material

Help align inventory activity with production and shipping needs

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with warehouse, production, and purchasing teams to ensure smooth material flow

Serve as a point of contact for inventory-related questions on the plant floor

Escalate inventory issues and concerns to leadership in a timely manner

Continuous Improvement & Reporting

Assist with inventory reporting, including accuracy and variance tracking

Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, organization, and accuracy

Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures


Requirements

  

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

· Experience in a quality or manufacturing environment

· Understanding of GMP and Quality Management Systems

· Strong communication and organizational skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office


Preferred Skills

· Experience with root cause analysis.

· Bilingual: English and Spanish
