The Accountant is responsible for performing general accounting duties to support the accuracy and integrity of the Company's financial records, including participation in the monthly and year-end close processes. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analyses, and supporting schedules while collaborating with cross-functional departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.


Responsibilities     

  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process.
  • Analyze financial transactions and investigate account variances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and other accounting functions as needed.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.
  • Prepare schedules and documentation to support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and U.S. GAAP.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and enhance efficiency through automation and process improvements.
  • Assist with special projects and other accounting-related responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or corporate accounting environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel required.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis functions.
  • Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Requires long periods of sedentary work
  • Requires repetitive upper movement – keyboarding and monitor use.
