Regional Catering Coordinator

Hotels Unlimited (with four award-winning New Jersey banquet venue locations in East Windsor, Tinton Falls, and Toms River) is seeking an experienced sales professional to join our team as the Regional Catering Coordinator. This position supports the sales efforts from a corporate level and maximizes revenue through the development, implementation and execution of catering sales and revenue management strategies for our catering sales departments.   Job Responsibilities:

· Helps oversee functions specifically for catering business: both social and corporate 

· Works closely with all levels of management to ensure that these strategies positively impact both the top (revenue) and bottom (GOP) lines

· Participates in setting hotel sales goals and assists in the achievement of those goals; at both the individual property level and at the company level

· Keeps current on economic and market conditions as well as new and existing competition within each market and helps adjust strategies and activities accordingly

· Help develop and maintain relationships with affiliated franchise/brand national sales support people and effectively utilizes those relationships and resources to drive bookings and revenue

· Assist hotels in region in effectively managing all corporate and catering sales inquiries to maximize revenue.

Requirements

  · Minimum of two (2) years sales experience (catering or event planning preferred)

· Familiar with the hospitality industry (preferred)

· Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings and weekends

· Proficient in standard office programs; Word, Excel, Outlook

· High degree of professionalism and confidentiality 

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines 

· Ability and means to travel to multiple locations regularly; travel is considered local with an approximate 35-mile radius


Compensation and Benefits include:

  • This position offers a starting rate that ranges from $45,000 to $50,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience. Qualified candidates with exceptional qualifications may be offered additional consideration.
  • This position also offers a bonus program that features opportunities for additional monthly earnings
