Job Title: Switchboard Operator

Compensation (Based on experience and qualifications) Starting at $17.30 

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm with a Saturday Rotation 8:00am - 1:00pm


We are currently seeking a Switchboard Operator to join our medical team and provide excellent customer service to our patients. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with a courteous and professional demeanor. The operator is responsible for managing incoming calls and ensuring they are directed to the appropriate person or department. 


Responsibilities:

  •  Answer incoming calls and greet callers with a pleasant demeanor
  •  Efficiently transfer calls to the appropriate person or department
  •  Screen calls according to established guidelines
  •  Accurately process messages and schedule appointments when necessary
  •  Provide basic customer service to callers in achieving high performance standards

Qualifications:

  •  High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of Medical office assistant experience or ‘inbound’ call center experience required
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Certification and/or experience in billing, and coding preferred.
  • Medical terminology, and automated office experience preferred.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  •  Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  •  Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
