Description
Reports to: Director of Warehousing
Reporting Staff: Warehouse Supervisors, Inventory Control Specialist, Order Control Specialist, Custodian
Alternate in Case of Absence: Warehouse Supervisors
Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
- Develop and improve warehouse processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Create and maintain positive relationships with customers while addressing operational concerns and service requests.
- Lead, coach, hire, train, and develop warehouse personnel to build a safe, productive, and engaged workforce.
- Monitor labor productivity and ensure staffing levels meet operational needs.
- Support and ensure compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality programs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory through audits, cycle counts, and inventory control procedures.
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of products and equipment.
- Audit aisle cleaning, custodian cleaning, and weekly product inspections, including damage and infestation logs.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the facility, employees, equipment, and customer product.
- Monitor warehouse performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Desired Background:
- Bachelor's degree or five (5) or more years of warehouse management experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience leading warehouse supervisors and hourly employees.
- Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills.
- Experience with inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience hiring, coaching, and developing employees.
- Ability to promote a positive, productive, and safety-focused work environment.
