Description

As a Quality Technician, you are responsible for facilitating the movement of orders through each department within the production facility and ensuring that manufactured products meet the company's quality standards. This includes conducting inspections, tests, and Layer Process Audits (LPAs). You will also document findings and support continuous improvement efforts to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

What you’ll do

  • Efficiently manage the flow of orders through each department in the facility, ensuring customer orders are promptly transferred to the correct stages of the production process
  • Conduct quality control checks on incoming material, in-process products, and finished parts to confirm they meet company standards
  • Provide timely and clear communication to team leads and supervisors on quality concerns and inspection results throughout the shift
  • Assist with ensuring production follows established procedures and standards in each department 
  • Maintain detailed records of non-conformities, corrective actions, and process improvements
  • Identify and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis while collaborating with departmental teams to implement corrective actions 
  • Ensure that inspection and test equipment is properly calibrated and maintained according to established schedules and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards (ISO, GMP, etc.), customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Strong attention to detail and quality 
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Effective communication with all levels of management, support teams, and production staff 
  • Ability to use measuring devices and basic hand tools
  • Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a quality, inspection, or manufacturing role
  • Familiarity with quality systems and standards such as ISO or GMP
  • Experience performing inspections and audits in a production environment
  • Exposure to root cause analysis and corrective action processes
  • Experience using quality management or inspection software

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to repeatedly lift 25 lbs and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for 10 to 12 hour shifts
  • Ability to bend, reach, and work around large industrial equipment

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing and production floor environment
  • Work performed around CNC lasers, press brakes, and material handling equipment
  • Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and metal materials
  • Use of required protective equipment at all times

Salary Description
$24.00 - $42.00/hour
