OVERVIEW:  

The Regional Account Manager will be instrumental in new business development in the Northeast area (primarily New England area) of the country. They must be highly collaborative, and results driven.  The Regional Account Manager will be responsible for delivering profitable growth through both direct and indirect channels to market, supporting and driving company objectives with accountability, and delighting the customer at every opportunity.         


RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Identifies new Target Accounts through networking, cold calls, travel, and relationship development.   To assist with that, the position requires active participation within local and national trade groups.  

• Identify leads and develop prospects via lead generation, trade shows, and networking to vigorously pursue new business.  

• Develops a growing and robust sales funnel of new quotations. Conducts follow-ups to new quotes, opportunities won, and opportunities lost in a timely, reliable manner.  

o Participate in marketing events, trade shows and demonstrations as required.  

o Prepare presentations, proposals and price quotations in various formats including PowerPoint.  

o Identify and communicate ideas that support best practices in sales and customer service.  

• Develop, maintain and foster strong strategic relationships with customers and distribution channel partners, targeting OEMs, installers, contractors, and dealers.  

• Delivers results from actions while maintaining a vigilant focus on time, risks, costs, quality and internal resources.   

• Achieves Growth objectives and deliverables by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, prepares and completes action plans, and resolves both external and internal issues in a professional, ethical manner at all times.   • Meets project financial objectives by forecasting requirements; prepares or follows a given budget; schedules expenditures; analyzes variances.   

• Provide efficient and effective feedback to all appropriate parties resulting from engagement of voice of customer activity.   

• Manage customer and new business development information and data; report on status of potential or new business opportunities identified.   

• Create and/or prepare various reports including status, activity, closings, follow up, and any others as requested.  

• Manage account inventory and receivables to optimize the company’s cash flow and capacity. 

Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience working in a professional sales environment.  - 4-year degree or A.A. or equivalent from an accredited college preferred with emphasis in Business, Sales or Marketing strongly  preferred.  - Proven ability to meet and exceed goals, objectives, and initiatives.  - Outstanding communication skills.  - Polished and well-developed written communication skills. - Highly responsive and proactive with ability to interface professionally and effectively on all levels with people both externally and internally.  - Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously with high level of integrity at all levels.  - Ability to positively influence and persuade. Savvy negotiator.  - Strong organization, follow-up, and time management skills along with the ability to effectively focus on goals and objectives.  - Technically proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to PowerPoint. CRM experience is highly beneficial.     - Proven ability to create, compose and edit written materials that are presentation-ready, aesthetically pleasing and highly effective.  - Professional image and the ability to effectively represent the company both externally and internally.  - Self-motivated; self-disciplined; highly driven and trainable.  - Travel is required (up to 50%)
