Description

The Delivery Driver / Hose Fabricator is a versatile, hands-on branch role responsible for making timely and accurate deliveries to customers and other McGill locations, while also building, testing, and tagging hose assemblies that keep production moving. The position spends some of its time on the road handling deliveries and supporting shipping and receiving, and the remainder in the shop fabricating hose assemblies and filling customer orders. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and customer-oriented, with strong attention to detail and a willingness to cross-train across both driving and fabrication functions.

  • Deliveries: Safely and courteously deliver products to customers and other McGill locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Route & Order Prep: Plan, prepare, and stage delivery orders, verifying accuracy and completeness before departure.
  • Loading & Unloading: Load and unload materials from company vehicles and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Vehicle Upkeep: Complete required vehicle self-inspections, keep vehicles clean and organized, and report any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Delivery Records: Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain required documentation or signatures from customers.
  • Shipping & Receiving: Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory handling, particularly during downtime between deliveries.
  • Inventory: Identify, verify, and correct inventory, completing all required paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Hose Fabrication: Identify hose and proper fittings, locate the correct crimp specifications, then measure, cut, assemble, crimp, test, and tag each assembly to the specified standard.
  • Order Filling: Fill customer orders from floor, shelf, or bin locations, ensuring the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.
  • Quality & Timeliness: Ensure hose assemblies are manufactured or repaired to the correct standard and within the required time frame to meet customer requirements.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate materials-handling equipment, light fabricating hand tools, or a forklift as needed (training provided).
  • Teamwork: Work closely with counter sales associates to ensure the best outcomes for customers, with potential to cross-train as a counter sales associate.
Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL not required).
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing 50 lbs. or more.
  • 1–3+ years of warehouse, delivery, or related experience preferred but not required — we will train the right
  • candidate.
  • Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with warehouse operations, products, and equipment.
  • Forklift certification a plus (training provided).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to cross-train across delivery, shipping & receiving, and hose fabrication functions.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a pre-employment background check and/or
  • drug screening as required.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English and comply with all company policies, including the
  • Employee Handbook.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Technical High School and/or College coursework a plus.
