Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast is seeking an experienced, mission-driven Traditional Clubhouse Director to lead one of our flagship Clubhouses in the heart of beautiful Paso Robles, California. About the Role
The Traditional Clubhouse Director provides strategic leadership for all aspects of Clubhouse operations, including youth development programs, staff leadership, community partnerships, facility operations, and financial stewardship. As the leader of one of our year-round Clubhouses, you will create an engaging, safe, and high-performing environment where youth thrive, employees grow, and community partnerships flourish. This position operates with a high degree of autonomy while partnering closely with organizational leadership to advance the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast.

What You'll Do
Lead Clubhouse Operations
- Develop and execute annual Clubhouse goals aligned with organizational priorities.
- Lead all day-to-day operations of a year-round Clubhouse.
- Monitor membership, Average Daily Attendance (ADA), and program performance.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, BGCA standards, and licensing requirements.
- Foster an engaging Club culture centered on safety, excellence, and positive youth outcomes.
Deliver Outstanding Youth Programs
- Oversee engaging, outcome-driven programming for youth of all ages.
- Implement National Youth Outcomes Initiative (NYOI) goals and assessments.
- Monitor program quality through data, attendance, and performance metrics.
- Continuously improve programming using measurable outcomes.
Build and Lead a High-Performing Team
- Recruit, hire, supervise, coach, and develop Youth Development Professionals and leadership staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and ongoing coaching.
- Build leadership capacity and succession within the Club.

Manage Resources
- Develop and manage the Clubhouse budget.
- Monitor expenses and maintain fiscal responsibility.
- Partner with Resource Development staff on grant compliance and reporting.
- Oversee membership administration and facility resources.
Ensure Safety & Operational Excellence
- Maintain a physically and emotionally safe environment.
- Lead emergency preparedness, drills, and safety compliance.
- Partner with Facilities staff to maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-maintained Clubhouse.
- Identify operational improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
Build Community Partnerships
- Serve as the face of the Clubhouse within the community.
- Develop relationships with families, schools, advisory groups, businesses, and community organizations.
- Support membership growth and community engagement.
- Represent BGCMCC at community meetings, events, and collaborative initiatives.
Promote the Mission
- Help elevate the visibility of the Clubhouse throughout the community.
- Support marketing, fundraising events, and advocacy efforts.
- Champion the impact of Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the Central Coast.
We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–5+ years of experience in youth development or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role comparable to a Club Director.
- Demonstrated success leading staff, programs, budgets, and operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze data and use results to improve performance.
- Valid California driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of Club Director Orientation and Club Director Academy.
- BGCA Tier II Trainer certification.
- Experience working within Boys & Girls Clubs or similar youth-serving organizations.
