What You'll Do

As an Accounting Assistant, you'll play an important role in keeping our business running smoothly by supporting both our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will help ensure vendors are paid accurately, customer payments are processed efficiently, and our financial records remain accurate.


Accounts Payable

  • Process vendor invoices by reconciling invoices with bills of lading. 
  • Review and adjust invoices based on purchasing updates and shipping discrepancies. 
  • Organize accounting records and electronically maintain paid invoices and supporting documentation. 
  • Research vendor statements and resolve outstanding balances. 

Accounts Receivable

  • Process customer payments, including checks and electronic funds transfers (EFTs). 
  • Apply payments accurately to customer accounts. 
  • Communicate payment discrepancies to the appropriate internal partners. 
  • Maintain organized payment records to support management reporting.

Requirements


  • Associate degree in Accounting or a related field preferred 
  • Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred 
  • Experience with Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable is a plus 
  • Strong computer and organizational skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
