We are looking for a Salesforce professional who enjoys solving business problems—not just administering software. As a Salesforce Business Systems Specialist, you'll partner with Sales, Membership, Finance, Marketing, and other teams to improve how work gets done across the organization. You'll own the health and evolution of our Salesforce platform, identify opportunities to automate and simplify processes, and help shape the future of our customer experience.
AMT recently rebuilt Salesforce from the ground up and is investing heavily in expanding its capabilities across Sales, Membership, Finance, Customer Portals, and Digital Experience. This role offers the opportunity to shape the next phase of our Salesforce platform rather than simply maintain a legacy implementation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Platform Ownership & Strategy
- Serve as the primary owner of AMT's Salesforce platform, ensuring it remains secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain the Salesforce roadmap by balancing operational support, platform enhancements, and long-term strategic improvements.
Business Partnership & Solution Design
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs, analyze processes, and design scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Facilitate requirements gathering, validate proposed solutions, and translate business objectives into well-designed platform capabilities.
- Act as a trusted advisor by recommending best practices that balance user needs, platform sustainability, and organizational priorities.
Platform Configuration & Administration
- Configure and maintain Salesforce using declarative tools, including objects, security, automation, page layouts, and flows to support evolving business processes.
- Administer Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, Blackthorn, Conga, and related platform capabilities while ensuring system stability and data integrity.
- Coordinate platform releases, enhancements, and vendor-supported implementations to ensure successful delivery of new functionality.
User Support & Adoption
- Provide responsive support and troubleshooting for Salesforce users while promoting best practices and a positive user experience.
- Develop documentation, training, and knowledge resources that increase user adoption and self-sufficiency.
Data, Reporting & Business Operations
- Develop reports and dashboards that provide meaningful insights and support informed business decision-making.
- Maintain high standards for data quality, governance, and system integrity through monitoring, validation, and continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Continuously identify opportunities to automate processes, simplify workflows, and improve the effectiveness of the Salesforce platform.
- Stay current on Salesforce releases, certifications, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to drive platform modernization.
- Champion a culture of innovation by evaluating new capabilities, measuring outcomes, and challenging the status quo.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Salesforce Administrator experience
- Hands-on experience with Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud
- Strong proficiency with Flows, Screen Flows, and declarative automation
- Experience administering users, security, and access models
- Familiarity with subscription or membership-based business models
- Strong listening, writing, and speaking abilities, as well as attention to detail and organization
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Clear, professional communicator with technical and non-technical users
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Customer-service mindset and ownership mentality
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM-201)
- Experience with Blackthorn Billing or similar invoicing tools
- Experience with Conga is a plus
- Experience supporting customer-facing portals or communities
- Background in nonprofit, association, or membership-driven organizations
- Comfort working with distributed teams and cross-functional stakeholders
