MBL Technologies is seeking an IT Audit Project Manager to support a federal agency. If awarded, the Project Manager will lead IT audit and cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring contract requirements and deliverables are executed on time, within scope, and in accordance with federal standards and client expectations.
This is a proposed position contingent upon contract award. The role requires a proven leader with expertise in project management, IT governance, risk management, and cybersecurity compliance who can effectively collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and government leadership to deliver high-quality, mission-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT audit and cybersecurity projects.
- Manage project schedules, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful contract performance.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and monitor project progress against contractual requirements.
- Support IT audit activities, cybersecurity assessments, and compliance initiatives aligned with federal regulations and industry best practices.
- Prepare project status reports, executive briefings, and client deliverables.
- Foster strong client relationships while ensuring quality, timeliness, and mission success.
- Serve as the primary liaison between audit teams, program stakeholders, and leadership throughout the full audit lifecycle, from planning through reporting.
- Coordinate audit requests, documentation, and stakeholder responses to ensure timely and accurate support of audit activities.
- Perform audit readiness activities, including reviewing prior audit findings, assessing internal controls, and researching applicable federal regulations and industry best practices.
- Analyze audit trends, findings, recommendations, corrective actions, and internal control activities to identify risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Track audit findings and corrective action plans, conduct independent verification and validation of remediation efforts, and prepare documentation supporting audit closure.
- Partner with technical and business stakeholders to implement, document, and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain project dashboards, status reports, meeting agendas, minutes, and other project documentation to support executive reporting and audit governance.
- Maintain centralized repositories for audit documentation, deliverables, and supporting evidence to ensure information is organized and readily accessible.
- Facilitate meetings with government stakeholders, communicate audit status and key milestones, and coordinate feedback on audit findings and reports.
- Support audit metrics, reporting, and reconciliation activities to provide leadership with accurate visibility into audit performance and compliance status.
Required Experience Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Business, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience managing federal IT, cybersecurity, or audit projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Current CISSP or CISA certification required.
- Experience supporting federal IT governance, risk management, audit, and compliance frameworks, including NIST, FISMA, and RMF.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance.
