The Human Resources Manager is an integral part of the Holmen Cheese team, they will bridge the gap between leadership and staff to foster a positive, productive work environment. They will be responsible for resolving conflicts, investigating workplace complaints, ensuring policy fairness, hourly recruitment, performance management, and guiding leaders through disciplinary procedures while maintaining legal compliance. The person in this role will have the ability to influence change and have an immediate impact on the organization.

Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with leaders within the organization and gain an understanding of their departments operations
- Provide trusted coaching and HR/Employee Relations advice, ensuring a balanced approach is taken to resolve all HR issues.
- Drive accountability and provide day-to-day guidance to leadership as it relates to coaching, counselling, performance management and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct thorough investigations as necessary and recommend appropriate action.
- Drive employee engagement and establish feedback loops to identify areas of concern and work with business partners to address them.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Interpret and enforce company policies, ensuring consistency. Annually review company handbooks and recommend changes.
- Lead full-cycle hourly recruiting efforts across the organization.
- Serve as first point of contact for our members HR related matters.
- Manage and track all Leave of Absence Programs
- Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and technology, and communicate updates to leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or any other related discipline or appropriate work experience.
- 5+ years in a HR Generalist or Manager Role with direct experience in handling employee relations concerns and investigations.
- 3+ Years of HR experience in a Manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws (e.g. FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.)
- Willingness to spend time on the production floor
- Ability to support a 24/5 operation
