Pay & Sign-On Bonus
- Starting Pay: From $17.92/hour, based on education, experience, and qualifications
- $1,000 Sign-On Bonus
- $500 after 90 days
- Additional $500 after 180 days (with continued employment in good standing)
About BHA Academy

What You'll Do
- Build positive, respectful relationships with students while promoting safety, dignity, and independence.
- Support classroom instruction using evidence-based strategies, including Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
- Assist with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), behavior intervention plans, and skill-building activities.
- Help students during instruction, transitions, therapies, and community-based learning.
- Collect and document student progress and behavior data.
- Provide personal care support as needed, including toileting, hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance.
- Maintain an organized, structured learning environment.
- Support crisis prevention and intervention procedures following training and safety plans.
- Administer medications as trained and authorized.
- Collaborate with teachers, behavior clinicians, therapists, and fellow team members.
- Participate in team meetings, required training, and professional development.
What We're Looking For
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stay calm and professional in challenging situations
- Ability to support students throughout the school day
- Willingness to complete crisis intervention/de-escalation training
- Commitment to creating a positive learning environment
Preferred
- College coursework in education, psychology, or a related field
- One year of experience working with children or individuals with developmental or behavioral needs (experience welcomed but not required)
