Human Resources Manager

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop, implement, and evaluate HR strategies, policies, and initiatives that align with organizational goals and support business objectives.
• Oversee all aspects of recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention processes to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
• Manage employee relations by providing guidance on workplace concerns, conflict resolution, performance management, coaching, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, maintaining current knowledge of HR best practices and legal requirements.
• Administer compensation, benefits, leave administration, and employee recognition programs while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Coordinate and facilitate employee training, leadership development, compliance education, and performance evaluation programs to promote employee growth and engagement.
• Maintain accurate HR records, personnel files, and HRIS data while preparing reports and analyzing HR metrics to support informed business decisions.
• Partner with leadership to support workforce planning, succession planning, organizational development, and change management initiatives.
• Develop and update employee policies, handbooks, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture that encourages employee engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and organizational information while exercising sound judgment and professionalism.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, including experience in a management or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence others, and effectively partner with employees and leadership.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
• High level of professionalism with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Microsoft Office Suite, and other business software applications.
FUNCTIONAL ATTRIBUTES/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to perform work primarily in an office or desk-based environment.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
• Frequent use of computers, keyboards, telephones, and other standard office equipment.

• Ability to read, analyze, and prepare detailed reports, policies, and other written documents.
• Ability to occasionally move or lift office materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to attend meetings, training sessions, and other work-related activities within the facility and, when necessary, travel to off-site locations.
• Visual ability to review computer screens, printed materials, and detailed documentation.
• Ability to maintain concentration, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment.
