Job Overview

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to manage the upstream lifecycle of our manufacturing supply chain. You will focus entirely on vendor strategy, commercial contract negotiations, and cost-reduction initiatives. By collaborating with engineering, you will secure high-quality direct materials, optimize total cost of ownership, and mitigate supply chain risk before production begins.

Key Responsibilities

• Supplier Lifecycle Management: Scout, evaluate, and onboard high-performing global and domestic vendors.
• Contract & Price Negotiation: Conduct RFQs and negotiate master service agreements (MSAs) to maximize cost savings.
• Engineering & DFM Collaboration: Bridge communication between R&D, Quality, and suppliers to ensure material specs are met.
• Risk & Market Analysis: Monitor market commodity trends and build multi-source supply plans to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Performance Audits: Establish and report on Supplier scorecard KPIs regarding quality and commercial compliance.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience: 3+ years in strategic manufacturing sourcing or technical vendor management.
• Skills: Expert contract negotiation, should-cost modeling, and ability to interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Tools: Advanced Excel modeling and proficiency in ERP software sourcing modules (e.g., M2K, SYSPRO, SAP, Oracle).
