Job Title: SENIOR CENTER HOME DELIVERED MEAL DRIVER

Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Center Home Delivered Meal Driver to provide essential care and support to participants in their homes. As a Senior Center Home Delivered Meal Driver, you will be responsible for delivering both hot and frozen meals on a designated route in the Booneville, Arkansas area. You may also provide transportation to and from the Senior Center to participants wishing to dine in-person. The ideal candidate has very strong communication skills, is reliable, professional, and empathetic, with a passion for helping others. Candidates must be at least 25 years old.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery and Packaging: Assist kitchen staff with packaging meals and delivering both hot and frozen meals on designated route.
  • Transportation: Pick up/drop off Senior Center participants on regular route to/from the Senior Center.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service while delivering meals and while transporting passengers to/from the Senior Center.
  • Organization: Keep a clean and orderly work vehicle, both interior and exterior. Ensure documentation and reports are complete and turned in timely. Assist with updating home-delivered meal recipient records as required.
  • Safety: Comply with all food and driving safety laws and procedures. Alert supervisor when vehicle is in need of maintenance.
  • Professional Conduct: Maintain a positive, professional attitude and project a caring image. Wear company-issued ID at all times on the job.
  • Technology Use: Utilize applications as required for recordkeeping and communication.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or management to meet the needs of the patient and team.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be at least 25 years of age.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor, with a commitment to providing high-quality service.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment in a variety of settings, up to 25 lbs.
  • Must provide proof of physical examination upon hire.
  • Must provide proof of or obtain First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Comfortable using technology for documentation and communication.
Salary Description
$12.00/HOUR
