Transportation Driver
Description

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Transportation Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will safely transport residents to appointments and other scheduled destinations while providing courteous, respectful, and exceptional customer service. This position also assists the Maintenance Director with administrative tasks and light maintenance projects as needed.

The successful candidate is committed to safety, punctuality, professionalism, and excellent communication.


Responsibilities

  • Safely operate the community vehicle while transporting residents to scheduled appointments and outings. 
  • Ensure residents are picked up and dropped off safely and on time. 
  • Maintain accurate transportation logs and required paperwork. 
  • Assist the Maintenance Director with administrative paperwork. 
  • Help with light maintenance projects as assigned (training provided). 
  • Perform vehicle safety inspections and report any maintenance concerns. 
  • Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies. 
  • Provide friendly, respectful assistance to residents entering and exiting the vehicle when needed. 
Requirements

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier. 
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. 
  • Minimum age of 21 years (or as required by the company's insurance policy). 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Dependable, organized, and punctual. 
  • Ability to assist residents with mobility as needed. 
  • Previous experience transporting passengers or working with older adults is preferred but not required. 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to assist residents in and out of the vehicle. 
  • Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds, as needed. 
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and enter/exit vehicles throughout the workday.
