Reports To: Parking Supervisor
Employment Type: Part-Time: Monday, Tuesday 4pm to 12am


The Garage Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service while ensuring the safe, efficient, and orderly operation of the parking garage. This position monitors garage activity, assists customers, maintains the cleanliness and security of the facility, and supports daily parking operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assist customers with parking questions, payment kiosks, and garage access.
  • Monitor vehicle traffic to ensure a safe and efficient flow throughout the garage.
  • Perform routine inspections of the parking facility to identify maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Keep the garage clean by removing litter, sweeping designated areas, and reporting housekeeping needs.
  • Monitor parking equipment and report malfunctions promptly.
  • Issue parking permits or validate tickets as required.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, accidents, damage, or security concerns.
  • Assist with traffic control during peak periods or special events.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and documentation accurately.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous customer service or parking operations experience is an asset but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer and cash-handling skills, if applicable.
  • Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and perform routine physical tasks.
  • Must have sufficient vision and hearing to monitor garage activity and ensure safety.

Working Conditions

  • Parking garage environment with exposure to vehicle traffic, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • May require evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime based on operational needs.
