As the Maintenance Director, your ultimate responsibility is to ensure the physical building and equipment systems meet the high standards we set for safety and presentation, and that the building and systems support our community of residents, families, and team members.


Other primary responsibilities include:

  • Manage a team of housekeepers who are responsible for the safety and cleanliness of residents’ apartments and all common areas of the building and grounds
  • Manage (to cost, quality, and timeliness) a network of third-party vendors in the performance of routine and emergent needs related to the building, equipment systems, and other aspects of the physical environmental
  • Ensure all routine tasks and maintenance issues such as plumbing, cleaning, equipment repair are completed in a timely manner
  • Routine apartment turnover - drywall repair, painting, carpet cleaning, and deep attention to detail to make apartments ready for a new residents
  • Hold focus and accountability to personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines and chemical safety
  • Respond to resident maintenance concerns in a timely manner
  • Maintain the overall presentation, appearance, and cleanliness of the community
  • Complete all of these responsibilities in relationship with residents, families, and team members
Requirements

Team Leader Position:

This position is a team leader (i.e., department manager) and more than half of the individual’s actual time will be devoted to supervising more than two other team members on a regular basis. The individual is responsible for exercising discretion and judgment, with authority to make decisions on matters relating to culinary and dining. However, as in any team, it’s imperative that this team leader fluidly communicate with other team leaders and the Executive Director on all matters of importance. The responsibilities of this position require that the individual remain accessible and on-call to address emergent issue related to resident care and will be required to periodically work evenings and weekends.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience leading a team
  • Experience interacting with and deeply relating to seniors
  • Meets all applicable licensing and background requirements
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work Sunday - Thursday

Salary Description
$71,000 - $75,000 per year (based on experience)
