Position Summary

The Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) is a key member of the Executive Team at Parc Center for Disabilities, serving as a strategic Development and thought leader. This visionary and experienced professional will be responsible for designing and executing innovative fundraising and development strategies that align with the organization's mission and fuel long-term growth.


With over 15 years of proven success in fundraising, the ideal candidate is a dynamic, results-driven leader known for surpassing ambitious revenue goals, building transformational donor relationships, and identifying new opportunities for philanthropic engagement. The CPO will bring deep expertise in major gift cultivation, multi-channel marketing, and strategic partnership development, ensuring the organization's continued financial sustainability and expanded impact.

Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the CPO will work in close partnership with executive leadership and the Board of Directors. They will inspire and guide a high-performing Development and Marketing team, elevating Parc Center’s brand, expanding its donor base, and driving mission-focused initiatives.

Requirements

Essential Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Design and execute comprehensive Development strategies that drive fundraising growth and organizational visibility.
  •  Major Gifts & Donor Cultivation: Manage a portfolio of major donors, securing transformational gifts and fostering long-term donor relationships.
  • Donor Engagement: Cultivate authentic relationships with high-net-worth individuals and stakeholders, promoting a strong culture of philanthropy.
  •  Revenue & Fiscal Growth: Diversify revenue streams through innovative funding opportunities, ensuring financial sustainability.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and empower a collaborative and high-performing advancement team.
  • Board & Stakeholder Collaboration: Work alongside Board members and key stakeholders to implement high-impact fundraising initiatives.
  • Research & Analytics: Use data and insights to inform and refine fundraising strategies, donor engagement and marketing efforts.
  • Marketing & Branding: Oversee and direct contract-based marketing efforts to enhance visibility and drive public engagement.
  • Public Relations & Communications: Shape strategic messaging that elevates Parc’s brand and thought leadership within the community.
  • Other appropriate responsibilities as determined by management.

Education, Training, Experience, and Other Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit fundraising and development.
  • Proven success in cultivating and securing significant gifts from high-net-worth individuals.
  • Strong leadership skills with a history of building, mentoring, and managing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with Boards, executive teams, and external partners.
  • Proficiency in developing and executing multi-channel marketing and communications strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFRE certification preferred.
  • Valid Florida Drivers’ License with acceptable driving record.
  • Communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, and other electronic tools

Schedule

  • Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Your schedule may vary depending on business needs and other factors. 
  • This is an on-site role.

Pay & Benefits Package

  • Salary range is $135,000 - $145,000 annually
  • 10 Paid Holidays

Salary Description
$135,000 - $145,000 annually
