Description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for managing all aspects of valet parking operations, ensuring efficient and safe service while maximizing customer satisfaction and revenue. This includes managing staff, handling guest inquiries, and maintaining financial oversight.  The manager also plays a key role in training, scheduling, and performance management of the valet team.  This position reports to the Director of Landside Operations.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Manages, directs, and evaluates assigned staff develops and oversees employee work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and control.
  • Establishes a culture and service leadership model that provides a “white glove” experience to guest with service standards that prioritize empathy, anticipates travelers needs, and foster a supportive team environment.
  • Compiles and reviews timesheets; reviews/addresses employee concerns and problems and counsels or disciplines as appropriate.
  • Create and optimize employee schedules, aligning staff coverage with past historical data, peak travel seasons, and track trends for future changes.
  • Assists with or completes employee performance appraisals.
  • Assist and work with Risk Management for damage claim management. Investigate all damages and missing property claims and filing comprehensive incident reports.
  • Acts as a liaison between employees and management, and trains staff in operations, policies, and procedures. 
  • Organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work.
  • Ensures that subordinates have the proper resources needed to complete the assigned work.
  • Monitors status of work in progress and inspects completed work.
  • Consults with assigned staff to assist with complex/problem situations and provide technical expertise.
  • Provides progress and activity reports to management and assists with the revision of procedure manuals as appropriate. 
  • Responsible for the daily oversight of valet booth and pick up counter, scheduling payroll, performance reviews, training, and departmental team development.
  • Accounts for all revenue collection for Valet Department; reviews daily balance reports for accuracy; prepares daily deposits; maintains cash operating bank. 
  • Oversees interviews and hiring new valet employees. 
  • Trains new and current employees.
  • Communicates with CRAA Airport tenants. 
  • Processes a variety of documentation associated with department operations, within designated timeframes and per established procedures receives various documentation, and reviews, completes, processes, forwards or retains as appropriate; prepares or completes various forms, reports, summaries, correspondence, ledgers, and other documentation.
  • Compiles data for further processing or for use in preparation of department reports; and maintains computerized and/or hardcopy records. 
  • Operates or uses various equipment and supplies to complete work assignments operates a personal computer to enter, retrieve, review, or modify data, utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, Internet, e-mail, or other software; and operates general office or other equipment as necessary to complete essential functions.  
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in related field of work.
  • Or equivalent training, education, and/or experience.

Specific License or Certification Required:

  • Valid South Carolina driver’s license.
